Moving years of work across
This is the thing most worth writing about, and the reason most people do not move to different software. If you have formulas somewhere else, in another application, in a stack of spreadsheets, or in a notebook that only you can read, say what you have and roughly how much of it and you will get a straight answer about whether it can come across.
The import mechanisms cost nothing. For a move too awkward for them there is a paid conversion service, and it is priced before any work starts: you send what you have, you get a price, you pay nothing unless you accept what comes back, and none of your data is kept once the conversion is done. Both halves are said plainly here because a reader who has to guess which is which guesses free and finds out otherwise in a reply.
A question about the software
Whether it does a particular thing, whether it fits how you work, whether it handles a material or a market this site has not mentioned. Those are answered by the person who wrote it, so the answer will be specific and it will say no when the answer is no.
Questions about a regulation rather than about the software are worth asking too, and the guides on this site exist because they kept being asked. What cannot be given is advice on your specific product: whether a particular formula is safe to sell is a question for a qualified safety assessor, and that is not a limitation of politeness but of who is allowed to sign.
How to reach a person today
Use the box at the foot of this page. It is the launch list, and it takes a question as well as an address: whatever you write in the note is kept with your address so it can be answered, a person reads it, and it is deleted whenever your address is. It is not a ticketing system and there is nobody else it gets passed to.
If you would rather not join a list to ask a question, say so in the note and the address will be used for the reply and then removed.
What happens to what you send
Your address is used to reply to you and, if you asked for it, to tell you once when the software is released. It is not sold, not shared, not added to anything else, and not used to build a picture of you. Every message carries a link that deletes your record outright.
